DJ EPK
questions.
Clear answers about DJ press kits, the designer, and your finished PDF.
What is a DJ EPK?
A DJ EPK, or electronic press kit, is a digital introduction to you as an artist. It brings together your bio, photos, the genres you play, career highlights, notable venues you’ve played, and links in one polished, shareable press kit.
Who is DJ EPK Maker for?
DJ EPK Maker is for DJs, performers, dancers, musicians, and entertainers who want a polished way to introduce themselves to promoters, club owners, event organizers, and agencies. Bring your bio, photos, music, highlights, and links together in one professional press kit.
Why do DJs need an electronic press kit?
An EPK helps promoters, club owners, and event organizers quickly understand your experience, sound, look, and how to contact you. It gives them a clear first impression and makes your information easy to share when you’re pitching for bookings. Think of it as a CV for DJs.
Why a PDF and not an online press kit?
Because a PDF is what people ask for. When a promoter or club manager says “send me your stuff,” it arrives as a WhatsApp message or an email — and a file attaches to both. It opens on any phone, looks the same everywhere, and needs nobody to click a link to a site they’ve never heard of. You can print it, hand it over in person, or put it in front of someone at a meeting. It’s your business card, not your website.
An online press kit is worth having too, and this isn’t either/or. The difference is the model: most online kits are subscriptions — you pay every month, and when you stop, your kit goes offline. A press kit doesn’t change that often. This one is a single $9.99 purchase, and the file is yours to keep.
Couldn’t I just make one myself?
You can, if you have the tools and the eye for it. A PDF press kit usually means expensive design software or a monthly subscription, and the skills to use it — or paying someone. A professional designer will charge well over $100 for a press kit, take a few days, and charge again for every change.
We got tired of exactly that. Pick a template, answer the questions, and your kit is finished in about five minutes for $9.99.
Can a promoter hear my music from a PDF?
In one tap. Your SoundCloud, Mixcloud, YouTube, Spotify and Beatport links are live inside the PDF — a promoter opens the file and goes straight to your mixes. The kit introduces you; the links do the playing.
Can I try the designer for free?
Yes. You can use the designer, explore the templates, and work on your EPK for free. Pay $9.99 USD for the final PDF only when you’re happy with the look and want to download it.
What does the $9.99 pay for?
It pays for your finished DJ EPK as a PDF, with your chosen design and the details you added. Links in the PDF are clickable.
What can I customize?
Choose from 70+ templates and 12 preset color palettes, then customize the colors and refine the layout. You can choose a portrait or landscape design.
What is a press folder?
A press folder is a shareable folder of promotional materials, such as approved photos, your logo, a text version of your bio, social media content ready to share, and other assets for event organizers. You can add a link to your press folder in your EPK. It’s one of the most commonly missed—and most useful—links to include.
What if I make a typo?
You’ll have 30 days to change details in your approved design, including photos, your bio, and links. Your selected design and DJ name are locked.
